    Default Every year for Christmas...

We always ask for something that we need or could use... this year DH & I are asking for a deli meat & cheese slicer, PJ's, house shoes, amazon & itunes gift cards (for my kindle & our music/movies). Does any1 else do this & if so what are you asking for for Christmas?!

No not needs, but if I were to it would be a new dishwasher.

We (DH & I) give each other a list of wants (or have in Christmases past) Very basic, his is always CDS. Mine is origins ginger essence & BE minerals.

I have told my Mother that she really just needs to stick with food for DH. Things like cheese & sausage, crackers, etc. She tries really hard, but always misses the mark for my DH by a mile.

MIL and Dh are going in on a Kindle for me and I can hardly wait to get my hands on it! I dont care if I get another thing honestly. My kids will get 20.00 each from dh to buy me what they want for us and I will get bubble bath and candles and coffee mugs I am sure. Thoses are the things I love and they replenish me every Christmas and the I take them and let them do the same for dh. Flashlights, rc helicopter magazines, some kind of small tools, work gloves. Dh's mom always gets him new tennis shoes New balance or nike and my parents get us pj's usually or sweats and a little cash (usually 25.00) . This year I will use my 25.00 for a couple kindle books! It took years for me to convince my dh ii really is the little stuff I love the most. He is finally on board . This year the Kindle is the exception though.

Our comforter fell apart this past summer, so DH and I took the $100my dad gave us for Christmas and bought a new comforter set. We still had to pay $43 out of pocket, but it was totally worth it! It is beautiful and VERY warm!

Otherwise, we are not getting each other gifts this year, just the family and one for my co-worker gift exchange ($15). We are trying so hard to tread above water right now and get things back in order....we have so much "stuff" that we don't really need anything (except the comforter).

We're limiting what we're doing. Will buy for our nephews (already nearly done) and a toy for the "toys for tots" drive. Dh and I are doing $50 each...which will "fund" our hobbies for a while. That's it! Whole Christmas for under $150 (cash).

Boy can I empathize. I don't even want to cook a meal now because of the clean up. When one of my crews in the kitchen helping themselves I find myself saying, "Are you planning on cleaning that up?!" And my tone is not sweet. By the way, they never clean it up. GRRR....

There really isn't anyone for me to give a list too. My mom will ask what she can get us and I always try to think of something that I want but I personally wouldn't spend the money on.

I wish Dh would give me a list, I never know what to buy him.

Yes, I ask for stuff I need. This year I have forks and a fitted sheet on my Xmas list.....lol. I also ask for gift cards to buy new clothes, because I rarely buy clothes for myself throughout the year.

i am being a total spoiled brat and asking for a color nook- which i already ordered online ( went thru mypoints for extra points ) had 75$ in BN gift cards i will use to get accesseries and books .

i bought it using $ i made working the other weekend which is not a normal part of my paycheck. should be delivered in next week .

i love to read but since my eyes got old ( or my arms grew shorter ha ha ) i find myself not reading as much because searching out my cheater reading glasses can be a pain in the butt - i can also use this in my car - at the gym - when waiting for kids etc and ic an adjust the text size.

decided i have worked hard since july getting things paid down as you can see in my siggy , and was still able to put an extra 500 to the CC i am working on this month even with some holiday shopping .

today at 5 and below store i bought a ipad size neoprene protector/ case to use with it because i just cant see spending 29.99 on one .

i have no idea what dh wants he hasnt mentioned it yet - i have some work / dress clothes for him so far but that is typical for what he gets .

We usually ask for household needs. We don't really want much, so needs it is. Last year he bought me a toaster and a tea kettle, along with a digital camera. This year, it will probably be baby stuff. I did ask my parents for a Barnes and Noble gift card so I can load up my Nook for when I am on maternity leave, but I also asked for oven mitts and baking items, as mine are all rusty and gross.

I usually ask for things I need. I don't need anything this year, so I'm asking for things I want. There's a limit, though, unless DH wants to buy the things I want for me.

    This year, my list includes:

    Just Dance 2
    EA Active 2
    The Biggest Loser workout game
    Kinect for XBox 360

The kids aren't hard to buy for this year. I guess it gets easier. They're getting what they want AND what they need.
