Default any1 have any great ideas on how to

cook homestyle chopped beef steak (Recipes)?
Not sure this is where I should put this but looked at the recipe forums & they all acted as if I knew how to cook this but since I don't... I'm hoping you all have ideas of how to cook it. This was part of our Angel Food Ministries pkg but I have no idea how to cook it (need a very tasty recipe) & since our grill is out at the moment... I need other ways to cook it. I have 4 pkgs that have 4 pc @ 6 oz each. Any ideas would be fabulous!!! Thanks!

Check out the website for Angel Food Ministries. They have a recipe section, using their packaged food.

I would season and fry the chopped steaks, but do not overcook.
Then make a gravy and use a little extra water in the gravy. Put the undercooked chopped steaks in then gravy and let it simmer until the gravy cooks down and chopped steaks are done. Serve the gravy over rice or potatoes and the beef on the side.

    Simple but good.

Labontet - definitely a classic recipe you described. I've also done the same using a can of chopped tomatoes instead of the brown gravy and served it over French cut green beans.

We had them in our Angel Food too. I fried them, then put beef gravy over top and simmered. I served mashed potatoes and carrots with it. Easy, peasy.

I would cook like salisbury steak, which we love, something like this http://www.food.com/recipe/amish-salisbury-steak-130387, olny I use chicken broth instead of water for the gravy. Obviously you would not need to make the patties.

I also fix mine in the crockpot. First I season the meat, flour and lightly brown in a little oil. Then I put them in the crockpot, add dry onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, water and then let them cook real slow. Delicious and soooo easy.

I like to season bread crumbs and fry them. Then serve with wedges of lemon.

Interesting idea with the lemon. I have never used lemon on beef, sounds like a plan.

I actually egg and breadcrumb them, then "dry fry" them - put them in a sry teflon or non-stick skillet until cooked through. Then serve with gravy and mashed potatoes
