Talking Scored big at Rite-aid today!

I'm so stoked I have to share! My mom asked me to swing by Rite-aid and pick up my dad's prescription. While waiting on the pharmacist, I wandered to the Christmas clearance section. I struck it big time! I had never considered Rite-aid for the post-holiday sales before. I'm going to keep them in mind from here on out.

I have a 3 birthdays this month, plus my closest friends son just made Eagle scout, and it's DH and mine's anniversary. I found small gifts for all the birthdays/events! Almost all less than $1 and things that really fit the interests of the recipients. I also found a gift set of four Star Wars coffee mugs with cocoa and marshmallows, the perfect anniversary gift for my Star Wars freak hubby for only $4!

All in all, I spent $7.67. My gift budget for this month was set at $50, and I was expecting to spend more since I had to add the new Eagle into the budget. Totally excited to start the new year off on such a good foot I get to tuck an extra $40 into the savings account this week!

    Great job!

I may have to try RA again. I used to go there, but they never had any advertised items in stock so I stopped. I'm a loyal CVS girl, and an occasional WG girl, tbh.

out here (here being the greater Seattle area) they also have the Wellness card which makes you eligible for in store discounts - for example today i needed to get a fresh batch of Estroven (return of the hot flashes, etc) and they had buy one, get one FREE deal which is way cool cuz the Max Strength Estroven is NOT cheap. plus i got $2 off on Centrum Women's vitamins (and they're PURPLE!!!!) and had a $5 coupon from my LAST trip! as i'm kind of new to USING coupons (versus carrying them around with me in my purse til they pass their expiration date!) i was pretty jazzed!

I may have to go by our RA now 'cause I saw those Star Wars mugs before Christmas, but didn't want to pay full price. Knowing my luck though, they probably won't have them.

    Awesome! Way to go!

Around here, Rite Aids have always been on the higher priced end of things, but when they have a sale, they have a GOOD sale, usually. I recently started shopping Rite Aid a little more after I went in to buy some $2 laundry detergent and signed up for the Wellness Card. I've saved about $13 in a month, just on their UP rewards.

    Way to go....great shopping.

Around here Rite Aid will have some decent sales but if you aren't there on the first day (sometimes within HOURS) then they are out of the item..........I don't go there often for that reason.

I usually go to Walgreens (no CVS here) because they are cheaper and have more stuff it seems. Rarely step into a Rite Aid except when running errands. It's three blocks from my house so it will be easy to check them out occasionally.

They have the Wellness card here, too, but I use my parents number and give the bucks to them. We rarely need drug store items but they need all they help they can get living on a fixed income and with my dad's umpteen billion prescriptions and OTC meds.
