I was thinking the same thing when I saw a recent post office commercial. Low price? Since when?!? My DH took a book (novel size) to mail for me and they wanted $8.90!

I think there is more false advertising than ever these days.

    Was that media rate?
You can mail books domestically by media rate (some call it book rate) they will ask you if it is only books and if it is then you can get the cheaper rate.

The prices here are going beyond absurd. Doing as FF talked about - marking the ads and buying only from them. This year I am going to grown something-anything and use it!!

This is not surprising, as many consumers will see it and jump on it because they don't know the difference. Another tactic is same or lower price for the now smaller size.

Mayonnaise is in a smaller jar now - staple that I may be phasing out.

Easily done - you can make it at home in the food processor or blender and it will taste better and cost less than what you get in the store.

Funny you said that about mayonnaise mm. I was just in Mexico and they do not even sell miracle whip. If mayonnaise is being phased out what will we make tuna noodle salad and tuna fish sandwiches with?

Best place to buy frozen vegetables is Aldi. Still $1 and under for 16 OUNCES. They even have cauliflower, broccoli and carrots together for that price; one of my favorites

Imo the only way to beat these high prices is to buy and cook your meals with loss leaders every week. I've been doing this for years and have probably saved thousands of dollars. Better in my pocket than theirs
