I don't usually buy meat there except for their deep frozen chicken leg/thighs and their crab legs. I heard that they add a gas to their meet to make it look better/last longer and that has turned me off.

I was grossed out by the sandwhich meat I got there, some kind of chicken or turkey, it had little pieces of something hard like bone all through it. We like their porkchops.
My biggest complaint is how they treat my groceries in the checkout. I have had to say something to 3 different cashiers about not throwing my food so hard and not putting throwing my raw meat and other groceries together. They are SO rough with the groceries. I emailed Aldi's customer service twice about it and have yet to get a response.

There seems to be quite a range at Aldi's across the region.
My local Aldi's typically has decent fruits and veggies but there are times they don't look as good or fresh so I shop for them elsewhere that week. I've had cashiers gently load and even keep my cart organized while they ring things through. The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.

I've purchased the turkey meatballs, lunch slices and frozen fish. I've had no complaints. It just usually cheaper to show my neighborhood mom/pop market for meats + some produce.

Our aldi's has great fresh fruit and veggies I infact would rather buy my potatoes at aldi's then my regular store they seem to last longer. We have bought some fresh meat there and have not had any problems. The one thing I don't buy there is the ground turkey it just has a weird texture thing to me like eating paste. We like their "buddig" type lunchmeat but the other stuff is kinda nasty. I will only buy their bread or bunny bread because for the price and taste it is much better than my regular store brand bread. Hope this helps.

Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

I love aldi's but I don't buy meat there. Lunch meat is fine and the bags of frz chicken I do buy sometimes. Red meat though isn't something I will buy from there anymore. It doesn't taste right to us.

I'm new to Aldi's and tend to be major-chain-store proud (Target lover here and working on being more open minded), but my family and I LOVE the Aldi bread. It was really good and I have been buying bread (.99), milk (.99 a gallon), eggs (.49 dozen) there each week. Each week we try something else there new. The Fit and Active fruit bars my daughter likes. I tried the frozen chicken breast and it tasted just like any other chicken. I've heard too many complaints on the meat so not going to probably be buying much of it there. I'm a bit squeamish about meat on a good day (if I didn't live with the carnivore pack I would sure entertain a vegetarian diet!). They had the frozen ravioli on sale this last week and it was very lackluster and got lukewarm reviews from the family (shouldn't be eating processed foods anyway, just an impulse buy I won't be repeating). I tried the mushrooms and peppers and they were identical to my regular store and 1/3 the price. The avocados, however, were just terrible (and it wasn't a ripeness thing, definitely the flavor was "off"). I've used the spices (red pepper flakes, pepper, lemon pepper) and they were very fresh and tasty. Still learning what we like and what we will stay brand-true to.
I will say I ALWAYS feel rushed by the Aldi cashiers, almost like they know the rules and I haven't quite "fit in" there yet. Guess that will get better as I get more comfortable shopping there. It just seems REALLY fast paced and rush-rush there. Not my favorite store (again, Target spoiled) but with prices that low I can learn to appreciate certain aspects of it.
Totally debt free since January 2011.
Fully funded Emergency Fund complete December 12, 2011! Yeah!

I have been very happy with all the products we have bought at our Aldi's. We havent tried everything yet, but will keep trying different items each time.
