Default Creating a baby shower out of nothing in two days!!

I'm in my classroom with piles and piles of papers etc all around me as I am attempting to really clean out and organize. A friend just called and the shower that she was planning needs to be find a new home for Tuesday afternoon. Whole new concept, menu, etc.

So by 2:30 PM on Tuesday my preschool needs to be transformed into a pink paradise for this shower - have I mentioned that I love challenges? Well, someone must have heard me...

I'm going to take pictures now so you can get an idea of what I am working with......and of course, I'd love any input!!

I was at a shower this weekend that had an interesting word match game--you had to match the name of a candy to a phrase relating to pregnancy. The night of conception phrase was matched to Skor. A baby boy was Junior Mints, a baby girl was Baby Ruth.

The decorations at the shower were things that were made to match the nursery that could be transitioned into nursery decorations. Like a simple scrapbooking-style page that said Little Lady (what the mom refers to her baby as) that was framed. They had taken branches from trees (not the huge ones obviously) and spray-painted them white, then had others small twigs on the branches spray-painted with pink glitter and those were in a cute vase. It was very simple but cute.

Is the room in use between now and then? If not, you might be able to move all the bigger stuff over to one side and just have a cleared out area for everyone to sit/hangout - maybe use one of the tables for a gift table and another for food/beverages.

If the kids are going to be there between now and then, maybe you could have each of them draw something for the baby?

Mahalo MadHen - room is in use daily starting at 7:30AM - the children are spray painting paper to be used for the food table and for wrapping paper.

I'd tag a couple people to help with food. Keep it inexpensive so they don't feel too put out. Have some bring a 2 liter of soda, someone bring plain napkins, someone bring ice, etc. That will take a lot of stress off you and you can concentrate on getting a cake, fruit platter, cracker tray, etc.

Mahalo CH - simple is the key!! Talked to some friends last night - one offered to take care of the care and the other will take care of the puus - all I have to do is make my Salsa!! I'll be checking what I have in the pantry before I leave for school today.

The quilt top is finished. Just need to put it together tonight or tomorrow morning.

Yup, this is all coming together!!
