It is funny watching the stores "fight" to get or keep my dollars
The grocery store ad said they had milk on sale this week
This week Walmart lowered their milk price as well as Aldi's. all of them are within Pennies difference of each other. LOL
Progresso soup was on sale last week at the grocery store.
This week Walmart has the soup "rolled back" to one penny less then last weeks sale price.
Aldi's was selling eggs of $1.19 both Walmart and the local grocery store moved their prices within a few pennies if not the exact same as Aldi's
They must really want our dollars.
Reminds me of lemon ad stands right next to each other competing LOL"Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you met has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS

We just have to keep being picky about where we spend our money. Pretty soon everything will be at a level of where we can afford stuff. I have seen so many old companies, which don't usually have to advertise, advertising on TV. Scary!

Since this week is spring break - I'll have the time to really check out prices. Going to the other side tomorrow so will get to see what's happening in the big stores too!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Deans onion dip
Kroger $2.49
Walmart $1.38 ??????????????
same size.
Chicken noodle soup is bad. .50 to .63. to .79 in a week but a coupon for .40 off 2 that doubles .79x2=$1.58-.80=.78/2=.39 but I only have about 6 coupons.
Just have to work harder now.
I view like tug-o-war.

I have to shop at every store in town not to just get the best price to also to find everything i need. Both my walmart and publix redid the shelves and so many things disappeared.

~I loved when this happened around here. I used to be able to cherry pick loss leaders from 6 stores in a 1 mile radius. It hasn't happened in a year though. We lost 2 grocery stores. Now I can shop at one large one and a tiny local one. Not even the drugstores bother to compete anymore because they don't have to. Urg.
It's rumored that we're getting a Super Walmart. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.~~Constance

I live in the Pacific Northwest and I've noticed that Safeway is getting really competitive with Fred Meyers, which is where I usually shop. Fred Meyer's is competitive with Trader Joes. I usually stop at Safeway just for loss leaders a few times a month but actually did the bulk of my shopping there a few weeks ago. Fred Meyers (a Kroger-owned store) has not been having good sales lately.
