Question Have you read through the complete TWG?

I read the book from cover to cover a few times and then recently sent it to a friend.

Have you read it from cover to cover?

I just recently got my copy... I started to read it. Its really neat!
I sure wish I had it with me (or any book for that matter) to help pass the time.

Me too. I used to read it before I went to bed each night for a while. I'd forget where I'd left off and have to read parts over again. Positive reenforcement.

I re-read it over and over. It just reminds me of the little things I forget.

    Off topic here...

Gina, I like your avatar. I liked the little dude with the santa cap though too. It made me laugh outloud when I saw him with a santa cap on.

Ok, now I'm going to sound foolish, but I've never read the book...I'm still looking for it at the used book store's...It costs me $50 per year to get a library card so I'm not paying that to check out the book, bad side effect of living out sice the city limits.

Karla, I work at our local library and we also have an outside the city limits fee. Why? Because we are supported by city taxes that folks outside the city limits don' t pay. Believe me, $50 is a BARGAIN for the treasure of knowledge and entertainment you have. That's only about $4.60 a MONTH.

That said, it's worth it JUST for checking out the TWG. You will save more than that the first month you read it!

Yep, I have read and reread it and have a copy of each PLUS a copy of the complete TWG.

    Hi Karla,

Amazon has it for $13.99 and if you order $25 total they offer free shipping, so I picked up two small books for my Mom.

I have a moratoreum on buying books, magazines, etc.....waited and waited for the paperback trader and half price books, ebay to get it and could never find it

I used C'mas coupled with the fact that it is a Reference book as well, put me over the top as a reasonable purchase. Even though I would rather have bought it second hand....and knowing it was a bad time of the year to hope to find it at garge sale.

I have read them and find them inspirational although extreme at times. I have yet to implement anything she has written about.

I have read it several times. I love it! It is great to read for inspiration--but sometimes I want to go re-read an article and I have a heck of a time finding it!

But I'd still recommend it highly to anyone who wants to save money and be more frugal.

I've read and enjoyed them several times. My copies are covered with yellow highlighter and notes in the margins. I did something that may help you others find the good tips.

Any good tip I wanted to try I list in the inside cover. The recipes in one column, the decorating, home maint tips in another, laundry in another, grocery tips, budgeting.

that way I have a fast reference to the ones that interested me the most. Later as I tried them, I note whether they were a dud or not.

For example I've never been able to make good coffee by dumping a bit more fresh grounds on top of the old and brewing. And in the Christmas gifts someone mentions whipping wax with an electric beater which has always given me visions of wax blobs all over me and the kitchen.

But that has balanced off of the other tips I tried and really liked.

It's worth re reading once a year or so for inspiration.

JustGina I love your avatar as well. Cracked me up!

Yes, I have read the TWG many many times. It has really helped me a lot. I have been spending way too much money lately. I think I should read it again!
