    -water balloon fights/water gun fights
-plan an adult/family scavenger hunt around your town/city with a group of friends - make the destination a surprise bbq in a park or something
    - we play a game called mystery bingo, which always ends up with alot of laugher - get a group of friends together, everyone brings 5-6 wrapped (use newspaper for wrapping) dollar store finds, put all the gifts in the center of a large table or in the middle of the floor - everyone sits in a circle around the gifts, using one pair of dice each person gets a chance to roll the dice. If they get a pair, they can take 1 gift from the pile in the middle OR they can take 1 gift from anyone else who won a prize. When all the prizes from the middle have been 'won', then set the timer for 2 mins (this is a speed round) and everyone rolls the dice as fast as they can, if they get a pair, they can 'steal' 1 gift from anyone else's pile of gifts. This leads to alot of laughter and cheering as ppl are telling each other to hurry up and roll the dice so they can get to have a turn b4 the timer is up. Once the timer is done, everyone unwraps the 'gifts' they won - one year i 'won' a roll of toilet paper, a can of tomato soup and various other nicknacks. You can play this game with a xrated adult version for a stagette party, lots of laughs for sure then! LOL
    - another form of entertainment is we go for walks around town, this is a small town so sometimes on weekends we will go for a really late night walk. Even at 3 a.m. it amazes us how such a quiet and sleepy town can still have so much traffic lol

Mystery bingo sounds like a lot of fun. I think I just might do that over the Summer.

    Thanks

Walking paths near our home. play at playing tennis on the nearby school court every so often. Library is our best friend with a huge state and genealogy section. I could spend hours looking at books and microfilm and never tire of it.

The city ten minutes away has started a riverfront concert series with some really great names Bob Dylan, ZZ top, Miranda Lambert, and others during the summer and while you do have to pay a hefty price to get in you can also stand and listen from a bit further away and still sort of see but more importantly hear it perfectly fine and quite frankly I'd rather be able to hear a performer without the headache after. So it is all good for us.

Hubby and I also love, love, love historical society museums. If there is a fee it is usually small or most often just a donation is required and I love all things from the 17 and 1800's time periods. Houses, clothes, lifestyle and everyday life just fanscinates me.

Our museums on the University campus have one day a month that it is free to tour the museums. We also have a pioneer museum that is a donation to go in (usuall 1.00). We have the school and a park nearby with playgrounds and a "sand" park. During the summer the youngest one goes to the "sand" park and get supervised play time from 10-5 every day of the week. Next week is VBS and it is free. There are also free swim days at the pool. Next month free movie in the park. Great times. Love summer. Oh and the library has their summer reading program for kids of all ages.
