Thumbs down The price of potatoes - UGH!!!

The price of potatoes is unreal here. For 10# the price is now $6.59. I have a few left from our garden this year which I'm stretching like crazy, hoping the prices come down.

What have you been paying for potatoes?

    holy COW! That's outrageous homesteadmomma!
Debbie pete i've accidently paid about 1.50 for one orange I had thought it was the kind on sale

A few months back I got 10 pounds of potatoes for 79 cents. Last week I got 10 pounds for 99 cents.

I also got oranges today, 3lbs/99 cents I got a huge bag, about 3.6 lbs (at least 8 good sized ones) for about $1.22...there were a lot of people gathering at that section after I started getting a bunch

They were really high for a while, then went way down. Now prices are back up a little, on sale this week $1.99 for 10#.

Hopefully they will go down for you soon.

Oh my gosh!!!!! $6.59?? That's insane! Potatos are one of our main staples because they are sooo soo cheap. I wait until they are a loss leader sale of .89 or .99 cents for 10lbs and then I stock up. Our garages is cold but not too cold so they last until the next sale. Our food budget would be super high if we couldn't depend on our cheap potatos.
