Question What can I do with body wash?

I have a body wash that breaks all the females in our house out in a rash. The males have not tried it as it is a very girly scent.

How can I use the body wash that does not involve it touching the skin? What else can body wash be used for.

It is the Nivea hydrating body wash if that makes a difference?

i tried using it as an air freshener by placing in a salt shaker and placing it in the bathroom. you can't smell it though unless you put the salt shaker right under your nose.

I grew up with a friend who's mother used laundry soap to mop their floor instead of regular soap. If your floors aren't fancy, maybe you could do something like that as well if you dilute it with water.

If worse comes to worse, you could also donate any unopened bottles to a charity.

I am extremely sensitive to all perfumed bath products like that. I use a generous squirt into my dog's regular shampoo to make it go longer and give it fresh scent. I know they SAY dog shampoo has a different pH but, honestly, I've been doing this for years and I've never had any of my multiple breeds of dogs ever have a problem with it. I also use it to clean my kennels. The suds are nontoxic and make the kennel run smell good. I would imagine you could use it to clean patios or lawn furniture, as well.

Body wash makes an excellent cleaner for tubs, showers as it is made to remove body oils and dirt, which is what builds up on those surfaces! A little squirt in bowl and a quick swish will clean that as well and leave the room smelling nicer.

    But, use gloves!

can always offer up on freecycle even opened .
ask friends who may take it

seems to me if you dont already have them the cost of getting gloves to weat when using it will overide any savings

where did you buy it - if you have the receipt some places will take a return if its due to an issue like that - i know many chain drug stores do for make up or at least use to .

of course they may just toss it once you return it so if you want to keep it out of landfill that wont help

Tell the men to man up. The smell dissipates rather quickly, none of their friends will make fun of them. I use my wife's body wash on a fairly regular basis, no one has ever commented.

    Hubby maybe.

Buddy, a freshman boy in high school, don't think I would not ask him to do that.

Are you so sensitive to it that you wouldn't be able to use it as hand soap?

Email Nivea itself or call the 800 # and explain to them your reaction and how you had purchased several bottles on sale thinking it'd be fine, no reaction. See if they can help you out by sending you a refund or arranging a designated store where you can go and exchange it back for something else?
