    Default Carving Pumpkin Prices

I am wondering what kind of prices we are going to be seeing this year. The cheapest I have seen so far is .29 per pound.

What are you seeing in your neck of the woods?

I saw on the news that there is a pumpkin shortage (bad weather) and prices will be high this year. I have a ceramic pumpkin with a carved face that I put a candle under. I bought it years ago. I know it isn't as individual as a real carved pumpkin, but after all these years it has more than paid for itself several times over!

I bought a pallet box for .45 a pumpkin, ( 50 ) and a pallet box of pie pumpkins .10 ( for 90 of them). Will be using them pumpkin puree, and butter to freeze, seeds to eat for winter and giving tons of them away free Started with my friends ,neighborhood and a few to the church pantry.

Many farmers market sellers said they are getting about 5.00 a pumpkin, Meijers had a sale kind of like your price. So I guess it will vary. Hope you all get some sweet deals. Hugs

I have seen carving pumpkins for $5-10 for a good sized pumpkin. My kids are past the pumpkin carving age but there 41 year old mother is not! I love it. I'm going to buy myself 2 pie pumpkins and carve them Halloween day then bake them a few hours later. We are so rural we get no kids coming for candy The pie pumpkin have been .79- $1.19 a lb.

Check our farmers markets and pick your own farms.

Pumpkins here at the farms are 1, 2, 3 dollars and a few higher. Most in the low dollar range. Two farms locally are $ 2 each in the field and $ 3 already picked. Also gourds are plentiful and reasonable. I bought 3 pie pumpkins at $ 1 each. Using as decorations now and then will cut up for the freezer. We got a frost last night so I had to cover the pumpkins.

Hubby has to buy a few bigger ones each year. I am hoping the chickens will like them after the decorating is over.

We went to a corn maize in New Park, PA (Groupon deal, it was awesome). We got our pumpkins there. I paid $3.50 for 20lbs of pumpkins. My sister and I couldn't believe how cheap the pumpkins prices were.
