You know when I was growing up we NEVER went out to eat...I remember my aunt taking us shopping for school clothes and we ate in a restaurant.....first time for me...I was probably about 10. I still rememger one nite my dad brought home a pizza...we were in heaven!!! We lived in the country and there were no fast food places and we were poor. We had huge garden and froze and canned so we would have food in the winter....Now, eating out in alot of families is a weekly thing....I'm much, much older now, in a better position then my parents were at this age, so hubby and I eat out once a week or so. I've worked hard all my life so I don't feel guilty. But, I can see where if we need to cut expensives, eating out would be the first to go...

Well, there are a lot of reasons to cook at home instead of eating out, and saving money is only one of them.
In our area, I have seen $5 pizza deals advertised at Little Cesar's. Can I make a pizza a home for less than $5? Yes, but only slightly. Do I want to eat the crap ingredients that go into a $5 pizza? Hell no! Will my homemade $5 pizza taste better than Little Cesar's? Hell yes!
YMMV

Agree, especially when you pick them up coming home from work or regular errands...no extra gas. We can get good ones for $6 or not much more. Same with Subway with tons of veggies on it for $5...foot long split for 2 people is not a bad price and not unhealthy. I like Little Cesar's, not my favorite but yes, I do like it. Guess it's a matter of opinion.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

I am on a no eat out freeze too. But mine is health related. We used to go out once a week to eat. Worked out to about $100-150/mth. Not anymore! Now I cook healthy food I can eat at home.

I've been re-thinking the cheap food deals lately. I'm starting to wonder what is actually in the cheap restaurant food that they're able to sell it that cheap. I'm starting to think I don't want to know!
We love Subway but there's really nothing very healthy on their menu. Everything is waaaaayyyyyy too high in sodium. We rarely go there anymore.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

don't forget the cheap pizza deals you see are not telling you about the delivery charge, which can be up to $3.00, plus don't forget the tip.
We make our own pizza and it is awesome. Here is a tip, make the dough the night before, let rise once, and put it in the fridge. Then take it out before you need it and you won't have to wait so long.
With all the talk about pink slime and meat glue in fast food, I wouldn't eat at most places anymore.
