Why we shop too much!
I was reading this book on money and it was talking about why some of us shop too much. Some people shop to deal with stress and to change our mood or because we feel depressed or lonely. I know I have been guilty of this. Now that I am working less I don't have this spending urge as much anymore and I am trying to get my spending in control. Who else is guilty of this? Why do you think you shop too much?

I have been known to shop out of boredom or because I felt depressed. It always makes me feel better LOL But I do look at the clearance isles and sale items!

I used to shop to make myself happy (because I was so unhappy). I would spend money to get back at my first husband, I spent way too much money and was completely wasteful. It's actually disgusting looking back on it. I'd actually hide things and when he got me good and mad, I'd whip something new out!
Now that I am much happier person, I find joy in the hunt, the bargain, the trying to get something for nothing. It is truly a challenge and I feel good when I'm done, instead of guilty and vicious.
It's a much better and healthier feeling.

I don't really shop cuz I'm depressed, and I don't feel guilty afterwards.... I do get a high from bargain shopping tho..... when I get something like bags of potpourri for 5c, I get a high !!!
Sounds strange I know !!!! I also tend to buy too many of these bargains, I can't just get 1 or 2 , I get 20 or more.......

Well remember I am related to captclearance. We have some of the same dna floating around in our bodies. I do not feel guilty either, in fact, the better the bargain, the better I feel about it.
