When money is low what are you glad that you have in your pantry?
When I don't have much money I am sure glad that I have in my pantry:
-pasta
-paper products
-shampoo & conditioner
-pasta sauce
-soap
-detergent
-tea
-soup
-canned tuna, salmon, chicken etc.
-mayo & mustard
-oatmeal
What things in your pantry do you really rely on when times are tight?

Right now I have a case of chicken broth, tomato paste, lots of pasta, toilet paper, shampoo, shave gel, cat food, peanut butter, cereal, and more I can't remember off the top of my head. I think the personal care products (shave gel, shampoo, pads, razors) are great to have on hand. Most of them I've purchased for pennies, and if I didn't have them, would be very expensive to purchase last minute, without a sale and coupon.

I do freebies so I have a huge bag of personal care items as well as first aid items stored in my pantry as well as
tons of canned goods (veggies and meats, sauces, which I date and rotate)
oatmeal
rice
flour
cornmeal
Bisquick
sugar (brown and white)
pastas of every kind
lentil, split peas, and beans
soups
powdered milk
yeast
cocoa and other baking goods
Raman noodles (ds loves these
)
peanut butter
jellies and jams
water (I keep several gallons and rotate)
paper and cleaning products
There have been lean times when I had to live out of my pantry so I keep it stocked with things I can make meals out of "just in case".
