Penny Pinching New Year's Resolutions!
Well my two New Year's resolutions are:
-pay off my credit card's
-keep putting money into my emergency account
I have started these resolutions under "challenges" so that I behave myself this year. What are some of your penny pinching resolutions?

Mine is to pay as much on credit cards as possible and still have a savings to maintain unexpected expenses and emergencies. I am in credit card debt up to my ears and am trying desperately to get out !!!!!! I need to get serious about penny pinching for sure!! Amy

Financial Goals 2003
I have several financial goals for 2003.
1) Pay off credit cards
2) Start Christmas Club account
3) Pay off high interest loan (only 6 months to go!!!)
Sounds pretty good doesn't it?? One good thing I have learned from my job, goals can be amended if needed. Sometimes we set goals with the best of intentions but we don't see what lies between the starting point and goal achievement.

I'd like to:
*deposit the money I make once a week and not touch it.
*REALLY *think*---do I need it???--- before I spend, even if it's
small.

I am starting a change jar of my own, and saving my "allowance" for things I really want. We are also cutting down our dining out to once a month which is very difficult for me. I love to eat out.
We are working on paying off most of our credit debt. We should be credit debt free by November of this year. Unfortuanetly my DH's student loans are up six months after then.
Swithching one for the other is very frustrating.

Pay down cc's-they got away from me at Christmas
I have started an envelope system to save for trips, etc. I currently have $1.00 in each one-hey it's a start! lol
Change jar for a trip to Florida. DH friend is getting married in Floriday in October-and no one will watch the kids, so we are going as a family. DH is in the wedding. After the wedding, well what's a trip to Florida without going to see Mickey? All my change will go for this trip. Each $200.00 I save I will go to AAA and purchase a ticket to Disney. They never expire.
Supplement my income with eBay and mystery shopping. Consignment isn't going to well. I think I can do better on ebay with the girls clothes. One shop won't even take them unless they are Limited Too. Yikes!

Mine is to put all the money that I save from using coupons and sending in refunds into the bank and then use it to purchase new wood floors for my living & dining rooms

Hopefully, when I start school again I will have less time to spend the money that I dont really have anyway. That has usually been the case. Too busy to shop? Yup.

I am just planning on being as frugal as possible. I don't want to spend a cent without it being absolutely necessary. I absolutely cannot get dh to agree to snowballing the savings from our mortgage refinance to pay off the van early, because he says (which is true) once the van is paid off, he'll need a new car because his will be 10 years old, so even if the van gets paid off one year earlier, it's only 1 year without a car payment, so we might as well just keep the extra $180 in savings now and make interest on it. I see his point, so I'm not arguing. However, in every other arena, save, save, save!
