    Smile And don't forget this one...

    Salt is also *great* to pick up spills on carpet. I saw this on the Christopher Lowell Show last year. I decided to use it one day when some kool aid spilled on the carpet. You do have to let it stay there for a few hours. But once that's done all you do is sweep it or vaccuum (I reccommend sweeping). No spots are left!
    As soon as the spill happens run for the salt. Cover *all* of the spill, don't skimp on the salt, it's cheap anyway.
    It just works so,so, so great!
