    Default Old Yankee Candle Jars

What does everyone do with their old candle jars after they've burned the candles? I have about 5-6 of these jars, and I can't bring myself to throw them away. They each have a smidgen of wax left in the bottom. Any ideas?

I have no idea. I have often wondered myself what to do with left over candle jars. I know there has to be some clever uses for them.

if you do candlemaking, you can reuse them to make more candle jars. you can also use them as pencil cups, untensil holders etc.
i have read that to get the last bit of wax out, you need to heat some water in a pot and put the jar in the pot. the wax will melt and you can pour it out. the last little bit of wax left after pouring it out should wash out. just do this over a low heat not high. you don't want to get it too hot and pop the jar. and the water should come up the sides of the jar a little ways past the level of the wax. it might take awhile for the wax to melt depending on how much is at the bottom.

You can run the jar under warm water( I think you can also run it under hot water) in the sink and the wax will slip right out.
If the above doesn't work try putting the jar with a little bit of wax in the freezer for a minute or two and then take the jar out of the freezer and the wax shoud come out of the jar with no problems.
I have used both of the above tips and they work great for me.
How about storing rubber bands or paper clips in the Old Yankee Candle Jar.
