I'm with you on the lemon water! I used to waitress, and sodas in a restaurant are so overpriced! Also, before ordering garlic bread, inquire if rolls are brought with the meal. Many places won't bring rolls to the table until after they've tried to convince you to get an appetizer.

i always share a meal with dd. she will be 5 next week and really doesn't eat enough of a kid's meal to be worth the money. she happily eats part of my meal since i ask for an extra plate and she gets her own portion of my meal. luckily we have pretty much the same tastes in food and i just have to give her 2 or 3 choices of what i want to eat and let her pick. we do get dessert every once in a great while(about once every 6 months), but it is a treat for us, and again we share it. and it's usually something that i can't make at home like the chocolate lasgna at olive garden.

I usually don't order any dessert but I most always will order a Bud Light in bottle with a frosted glass!! I only do this at dinner or if we are having a late lunch on the beach.
