    Talking Frugal tip 1/21

Try to make your calling plan as basic as possible and cancel all extra phone services that you don't use. Extra service such as call waiting and call forwarding can more than double your monthly phone bill.

Excellent tip! All that extra "stuff" really can add up.
Sure wish they made plans more easily understood.
Call & ask what plans would be best for you considering your calling history. We did this recently and lowered our bill about $10.00 a month. It all adds up.

Have you guys noticed that basic service is still not actually what you pay? My bill keeps adding on this govt thing and then another and another...
My friend got hers and we added it up and we didnt like it one bit LOL. Its 5.95 here and 87cents there but still it adds up!
I remember when I first got married in 1991 my bill was 23 bucks!

We just changed our phone service a week ago, AT&T raised the rate I had been paying without notice, so I switched to a prepaid calling card for 3.4c a minute........ I'll do much better than I had been.....

I cancelled my AT&T last year. We now use prepaid calling cards we get from Sam's. I still pay about $83/month
We have area calling, caller id and 2 phone lines.
