What kind of frugal vacations do you take?

One frugal vacation I used to take was going camping. This summer I will have a 6 month old babe. What are some other frugal vacation you can think of?

Most all of our vacations are going camping, all 3 of my kids went as babies with us (not all babies at the same time LOL) now all of them love to go camping.

Shell, don't stop camping because you have a baby! I took my baby camping last summer-she was 9 months old.

We go (minus DH) camping at the shore every year for a week. MIL pays for my 1st 4 nights and we camp next to each other and share meals. It was very frugal last year-until my mom came down for 2 days. I spent more money those two days then I did all week! UGH!

My DH hates camping, but he missed us so he came down 2 nights to see us-lol

We go camping a lot ! We took the kids when they were babies ..... We had a great time, the nice air seemed to relax them too... We've planned other trips where we found deals on the internet, look you can find quite a bit..... You can often compine camping and other activities, like going to a theme park and staying in a nearby camp ground instead of a hotel....
