I think all too often as human beings we talk about what we should be doing or how we should be better or just like to be negative about ourselves. It is easily done. I think this would be a good time to say some frugal things we do that we are proud of!

I'll start. I am proud that I put money away monthly for retirement. I am proud that for over a year I have put money away into an emergency fund. I am doing great at paying off my credit cards and have cut WAY down on how much I spend on clothes. I feel more in charge of how I handle my finances and myself. I am learning lots everyday by visiting this website.

One more thing I forgot to mention that I am proud of. You ladies are a positive and a supportive group. I have gone to other websites

and have found some people to be negative and cruel. Some of them even go around just correcting peoples spelling mistakes.

Hey Shell, I'm proud that we've paid off our cars, our house and credit cards.....I'm proud to have money in savings and for retirement (although not nearly enough yet). I'm proud to have raised 3 GREAT kids and to now a bit of time for dh and myself. AND I'm proud to be part of the great group.

Good thread. We all do need to stop and look at what we are doing, and what we have accomplished from time to time.

I am proud that at only 23 & 24 years old, dh and I have learned our lesson with ccs, and have made the decision to pay them off, and never have that debt again.

I am proud that dh and I aren't lazy like a lot of "kids" our age, and that we have put our money to good use. We own our own home, our own truck, and although we do splurge from time to time, we aren't complete fools with our money.
