LeShea~ here is the link to a post that explains them.
http://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/...brownie+points
Or in Sara's words from that link......
I hope this explains it. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.Brownie points are points given by myself or by one of the mods to members that participate well. It also serves as a guage to readers on a particular member's usefulness, validity, and participation as a poster. If you haven't been given any brownie points as of yet, this doesn't mean you don't participate well. There isn't any favoritism and it shouldn't be taken personally. One day a brownie point may simply appear based on an original thread or useful reply. They may be given for humor and initiative too. It's my way of thanking members for contributing to the community.
It is also to keep moral high and there just may be surprises in store in the future based on brownie points.

Near the top of the page in the Frugal Village banner you'll see a button "user cp"press that and then you'll see a place that says mood. Press that & you'll be able to set your "mood" .hth!Originally posted by LeShea

It keeps telling me to choose from ALL the catagories....which I have done repeatedly..so it never takes the mood update. It seems like something is wrong with it.....any ideas?

I had that problem too when I first came here. Just make sure you put something in the added comment section. I usually make a smiley. Hope that helps you.Originally posted by LeShea

This was one of my first questions too when I joined the board. It seems like each time I am on here, I just learn more and more.
