Were you ever a shop-a-holic?
Remember the old saying, "shop 'til you drop?" I was just thinking how much more careful I am when it comes to shopping. I used to take my paycheque and run to the mall and buy whatever my little heart desires. Oh, how things of changed. I used to find I would also spend a lot when stressed from work or just because I felt lonely. I read an article that shop-a-holics love to go shopping because it temporarily changed their mood. I guess much like a drink will. Any former shop-a-holics out there?

I was a total shop a holic, Walmart use to be my favorite place. It was great moving to a small town with the nearest walmart 90+ miles one way. It is great because between living here and being in the village I have a no shopping thing going now.

I have always been a shopaholic. I guess, you could say I am a recovering shopaholic.
I have to keep myself out of the stores, because if I don't I get carried away. And, I don't go to town with my best friend anymore because she is the ultimate shopaholic, and influences me to shop a lot more than normal.

Hi, my name is Kellie and I have a shopping problem. It peaked 4 years ago and has been under control since, but I know I will never be completely free of this addiction.
Let me put this in perspective for you, my best girlfriend and I are leaving for 8 days in Palm Beach, Miami and Key West-this is a trip we decided to pick up and go on less than a week before, as in, there's nothing going on this weekend, let's go clubbing, in Miami. We both need a few things to take along so we go to the mall, between us we spend $1,200 in Lane Bryant, $50 in Macy's on sunglasses, and $60 on new shoes for me--thank God we both have good luggage at home or we would have needed that too! We charged every cent, then went for dinner and drinks to celebrate! This is why I need to keep my shopping under control at all times.

I have never been a shop-o-holic and I believe I shop more now than ever before. I am constantly looking for the best deal and to do that you have to really check out your prices.

i wouldn't call myself so much a shop-o-holic as a sav-a-holic. I definitely spend to save. I did a full out pantry stock by november and I still have a full bookcase. For my boys, I like to shop the stores that have a kid-advantage policy-because boys will be boys.
