So aggravated with the company dh used to work for

My goal for the end of this month was to have all bills caught up, and pay our property taxes. I was going to be able to do this, because we were expecting $600 from the company that dh used to work for (they owed him some money). The check came into the mail, and it was only for $380. They are claiming that this is all they owe him for. So, there goes my goal for catching up on bills.

Any advice?

No advice here other than calling them and asking why the amount is what it is.

Do you have some proof of what they owe him ????
If so I would call and present it..... Don't give them the original documents...

I'd be finding out why they feel that's all they owe too. And pay all you can on your bills, every bit helps.

ditto whateverone said, call and find out why they think that is all they owe.
and depending on what your bills are and how their billing departments work, they will most likely be happy that you are paying something on your bills even if it is half of what you were planning on paying.
