    Default Fred's Coupon Policy

I finally heard back from the main office concerning their coupon policy. The manager was right in saying if the coupon exceeds the price it won't double..making the item free...what a bummer lol
I guess I should just be happy they double every Saturday. I do end up getting somethings ALMOSt free like those 49¢ baby wipes *hehe*

    Here's the email I got............

    ****************************************

The following are key points concerning Fred's coupon acceptance policy: We
hope that your next shopping experience with Fred's will be more enjoyable.
    Thank You

    * We only accept coupons on merchandise we carry and are
    included in the customers' purchase.
    * We double the coupons on Saturday if the face is no more
$1.00. Coupons with face value of more than $1.00, is accepted at face
    value only.
    * We will double only 1 coupon per identical item per day. Additional
coupons may be used if additional identical items are purchased, but they
are not subject to doubling. Only 1 coupon per item. If the items are not
identical, both coupons may be doubled.

    * Coupons can be accepted on trial size items unless excluded
    by the coupon.
    * Tobacco coupons are not doubled regardless of face value.
    * An additional coupon may not be used in conjunction with a
Buy One Get One Free coupon. A coupon may be used in conjunction with a Buy
    One Get One Free promotion.
    * A coupon may be accepted when matching a competitor's ad,
but is not subject to doubling.
    * Internet coupons must be printed in color.
    * The coupon (at face value or when doubled) may not exceed
    the price of the item.
    * Always check the expiration date. If a coupon has expired
    it cannot be accepted.
    * Always check to make sure it is an actual coupon and not a
rebate or certificate. A valid coupon will have the product description,
cents off amount, expiration date and an address to send the coupon for
    redemption.

I love Fred's!The first time I went there the girl didn't know how to ring it up and a lot of things I got they were paying me back for,she just typed in the amount on the coupon and doubled it.Haven't seen her since and didn't know of this policy, but yeah it sucks but hey its better than nothing.

Oh yea..I agree,It' better than nothing but I always hear of people saying 'I got this free because of double coupons' and I just thought Fred's did the same thing ya know?!!
I'm glad we have Fred's that double. There's one grocery store about 40 mins from me that doubles on Monday but IMO their prices are to high and I don't feel like I'm saving alot. (plus they only double to 99¢)

When I first started going to fred's with double coupons, they were doing them manual and never checked to see if it exceeded the price, and I did get alot of freebies. But now, they scan them and I guess the computer reads the price and if it exceeds the price of the product,it won't double.

I'll still continue to go. I just pay closer attention to the price of the item and what it'll be after it scans..making sure I'm getting the best deal even if it doesn't double
And hey-I still can't get over the Huggies wipes lmao
I said to dh tonight, while cleaning Jackson's room.... "Don't you just love this baby wipe stockpile I got.." He was like.." uh huh..I guess.." LOL!! Men just don't get excited like we do over a bargain lol
