a tip from Mom
I never knew this was a tip, it never dawned on me that other people don't do this till dh told me i am weird for doing it:
Mom always put water into her broilers drip pan before using it. the drips drip down into the water but do not stick and burn. the water evaporates, sure, but i add more as i need to. Be careful when you remove the pan fronm the broiler, the water gets HOT (as one could imagine), but be careful not to spill it on yourself. Or if possible remove the items from the brolier with out taking the pan out, leave the pan in to cool some while eating dinner before removing it.
sure makes clean up a snap...
LOL, but never occured to me that it wasn't common.~~ Missy ~~

I've been using that tip for years and didn't realize it wasn't common knowledge either.
It sure saves on the wear and tear on fingernails! LOL!
