    Thumbs up Saving pennies - June 23rd

    I did have to purchase a few stamps this morning, but I'm saving pennies by:

    - making applesauce muffins rather than purchasing treats
    - not turning on the a/c. All the windows are open and there is a nice breeze
    - using the crockpot in the porch rather than turning the stove on which brings more heat in the kitchen

    I have been home all day, so no money spent, yet.

    Hanging clothes on the line, washing in cold water.

    Made sandwiches for lunch with bread given to me.

    Cut a pair of pants to make shorts for myself.

    Adding money in my change jar.

    ..eating leftovers
    ..making bread, butter and homemade jam
    ..boys are watching a video instead of going to the theater
    ..decluttering my desk so I can see exactly what I have and not have to buy more...
