Does anyone else live in a MH?

Ok I have some energy related questions.


1) I read on a site that it doesn't take any mroe energy for a furnace to reheat a room once the heats been off for a while (such as turn it off or way down before leaving for work) Does the same apply to the ac unit?

2) What are the roof covers, like carports but over the whole home called? I know they help keep in heat and cooling but I can't search for them unless I know what its called and I am drawing a blank!
I had other questions too but I lost em someplace! so I will add them later if I remember them!

I don't live in a MH Mel but our a/c man said that it's best to keep the a/c on at a constant temp. cuz it does take longer to cool everything off once it gets good and hot. I never considered that the a/c cools the walls, etc...but he said it does and it makes it more expensive.....

Mel, I don't live in one but I think that the roof covering you are talking about is a "roof over". I found a few sites with information about them. One even tells how to make one yourself.

I rent in one now, but we are looking to buy one used to move near dh's grandfather so I made need som of his info too..lol.
