What little things do you like.......
that you don't buy for yourself. You know those little purchases that make a difference but you don't feel you should spend the money.
For me it's things like, nice serviettes, bath products, little touches for the house like candles, potpourri, fresh flowers in winter, a book.
Now sometimes I do go and get a little something but seem to have this feeling I shouldn't be wasting money.
How about you?

Probably the most would be flowers during the winter months. I do go out and purchase a few every now and then, but I'd love to have fresh flowers everyday.
And fancy little things, like doilies, tableclothes, napkins - those types of things. Those are things I'd love to have way more of, but I just don't want to spend the $$.

I would say things like candles, decorative pictures for the walls, things that make a house a home, kwim?
We've gone for 5 1/2 yrs without much decoration at all (ie walls are BARE), and I'm just now slowly buying things to make it more homey around here. So I guess I'm spending but very slowly rather than all at once, and everything I buy requires a looooong decision period where I go back and forth in my mind about whether I should buy something.

I resist buying nice things for my home, unless we need it...sometimes, though, I find it hard. I also stopped buying magazines for a year now, but I just couldn't resist yesterday...I needed to buy one...the cover was nice with the pumpkins...
I also rarely buy flowers...dh suprises me sometimes, even if I tell him not to buy them since it can be $10.00 easily on a small bouquet of flowers.

I feel guilty when I buy myself Bath & Bodyworks or other expensive lotions/shower gels. I love that stuff, and I know that it's so much better than the stuff at the grocery store, but I still feel guilty if I indulge myself. So, I generally get some for Christmas, and then maybe once or twice a year I'll buy some for myself... as opposed to every few weeks like I'd like to do.

Can I make a list????
~good quality chocolate candy (like Ester Price or Godiva)
~steak (hubby and boys would agree here too)

~beautiful silk or preserved flower wreaths (I saw some lovely ones at a craft show that I was just drooling over, but there is no way I can afford them)
~irish linens
~Pendleton wool blankets
~Thomas Kincade paintings (DH and I did find a beautiful framed print last year at a great price and got it as a Christmas gift for each other)

I would love to have wall to wall books and a home smelling yummy with berry scented candles. However, I just can't bring myself to spend the money on these things. So, I don't.

Fresh flowers
Bath and body works stuff (dh actually was the one that picked the one thing I do have from there, and i had to talk him down from the more expensive item! ROFL)
The more expensive makeups and skin care products (although I think I'm about to cave in on this one)
Washcloths and kitchen towels
Food from Taco Bell
good quality socks (like from nordstroms, they are sooo much better than anything else I've ever bought and I only know because one of my cousins pairs got mixed in with my stuff when i moved)
