Trying to make myself accountable LOL
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to put this but Sara's budget thread made me think of it - so here it is.
I was nearly crying yesterday (LOL now!) I was thinking of all the things I want to do this year and wondering how I would spend any time in the village.
But hey, of COURSE I'll be here, I always am! LOL.
But now I think I need to make it 'real' to myself so I'm being accountable here.
DH starts a new job Jan 6th and we have yet another family member here too!
I am starting a VERY strict budget.
I want to menu plan (ROFL) might need some serious help with that one! (I haven't cooked in years! and now I'll have to learn as DH is working shifts and won't be here)
I have a cleaning/decluttering routine set out that I want to follow and get the house MUCH emptier and a LOT tidier!
I have a new savings account to take my kids to Disney in 2-3 Years.
And I want to start planning birthdays and christmas now
So I can get more at car boots and make some too and hopefully I wont loads to buy in December.
I'm sure there's other things too
- the list seemed alot longer in my head LOL. I have started to keep all my budgets and lists in ONE book instead of having them on scraps of paper all over the place, cluttering it up and to be found years later LOL (I have found 4 Christmas present lists for this year just clearing up today!)
So I'm really REALLY hoping that this year I will be much more organized and find some peace in it all, knowing where I stand at least 'should' make things run more smoothly. (that's the plan anyway!)
I'll keep you all posted and scream when I need some help.
Oh and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY! (6 hours to go here)

You can do it Bev. Just set your mind to it. Do you have a crockpot? It is such a lifesaver on both your wallet and is a great time saver as well. You can put cheper cuts of meat into thema and cook them until they are tender with no effort at all!
Having a new years resolution is great. Maybe you can keep your lists in your computer so you can pop in regularly and share your progress with us.
Happy New Year my friend, I hope this one offers health and prosperity to you and yours!

Bev!!! You can do it lady!!!
After years of scraps of paper all over with lists, I finally got a 3 ring binder and made dividers for it. I have my wants list, needs list (along with sizes for all of us), by grocery budget, my prayer journal and my blessings lists. Oh yes, I also have our individual and family goals written down and an overview of what I need to get done each month. It sure helps keep me in order!
