OK Today is really BAD!
I went shopping today (with my list) and overspent
Like, how did that happen???? I bought some things I wouldn't normally have to, but I also didn't buy some things I would normally have to. So it should have evened itself out.
That's the first BAD thing, I really can't afford to do as from NOW we have NO money for a month!
I'd forgotten just how awful food shopping is
, half of what I wanted wasn't there, it took my ages to go through my list and find what was there, the woman behind the tills was throwing my shopping at me like the place was on fire
AND I didn't have to take the kids, so it can only get worse!
Came home and I COOKED!!!!
Chilli sausages - which I found a recipe for and thought that'll do, looks easy enough.
I HATE hot food - Now you'd think the CHILLI part would've been a dead give-a-way, but no!
Emy told me she liked the sausages but not the fire bit LOL.
So now I have to swap chilli sausages day for something else.
This is just day one - I have minus money, my throat is on fire and I remembered how much I hate shopping.
Oh and to top it off, don't ever try to peel an onion with acyrilic nails on
I can hardly do up my own jeans, peeling onions is near on impossible!
I'm already just about ready to throw in the towel, which I WOULD do, except I'm not given a choice in this one.
going to drown myself - then back to the drawing board

Don't give up Bev. Nothing worth achieving is easy. When you are a moderator of the cooking section you will look back and laugh at this. Just steer away from spicy stuff. Dang I wish I could swim, cause I love my food hot and spicy!
So what you made a mistake, they help you grow!

Bev
Ok Sweetie, after you are done with your bath, minus the drowning part
, just pick yourself back up and try again. Please don't get overwhelmed. Maybe you need to start with smaller steps and just cook meals that you know your family will like. Also, read up on spices and what each one is used in. This will help you figure out which ones are hot, sweet, etc.. Remember, you are learning a new skill and it takes practice. I love you and I know you will get the hang of this!!!

Bev, you only got stuff on your list or stuff you had to replace those with? That in it self is a great thing!
You discovered one recipe you didn't like, that is also a great thing! You are LEARNING things, that is part of the process.
We all make mistakes, especially in the first stages.
At least you are making the effort, THAT is fantastic!
You actually did much better than you think sweetie!

Just take the hot spices utof the sausage recipe and try it that way. It will probablly be just as good, or cut the sausages into small pieces, cut up some potatoes and fry them up together, that is one of my favorite meals.

as long as you learn something from your mistakes, or at least get past your mistakes, it was not a wasted effort.
you can do this! pick yourself up and dust yourself off and try it again. if you make another mistake, don't fret. tomorrow is another day. you can try it again then.
