Do you have a change jar?
and if so how many? and how often do you cash it in?
We have three. I have one upstairs and one in the laundry room and Zachary has one.
We tend to cash ours in twice a year. I wish we didn't, but there have been times that it's been needed. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Just next to the washing machine. Everytime I find change I let out a loud woohoo! and pop it in the jar.If I get
I yell out yeehaw in addition to the woohoo.
Kids wonder who left how much in their pockets. If I'm feeling nice the
might go back to their owners. If this violation is a regular occurance it's mine all mine.

We have 2, one in our bedroom, it is a gallon glass milk container and one in the laundry room, it is just a plastic jar. We usually cash them in when they are close to full. I would like to transfer the one gallon in our room to a 5 gallon water jug and not cash it in until it is full. We are saving for a vacation next year.

I just started mine over. When I worked at Ruby Tuesday's I saved all my loose change and my ones (we used it on vacation in Sept.)
I just started back with this week. I am going to try and wait to cash it in when I start having to buy Christmas presents at the end of the year. Unless I need it before then.

We have one, but I keep dipping into it. I need to get better at not touching it and just putting it into our savings every month. That way I seem to not spend it. It just seems everytime I need something small, I dip into that jar.

Yes I do, seeings as I collect tins. That is where I keep the loose change. I roll it up and deposit it in the savings account whenever the tin is full.

I have a 5 gallon Arrowhead water bottle that is a little more than 1/3 full of pennies. I have been saving them for years, probably a hundred dollars in there maybe more even, I have no idea, I will cash it in when it is full.
I had a nice wine bottle that was almost full, but that is one of the things that brought me through that hard summer. I used it for papers and coupons. That change jar provided me with a stockpile to say the least. It still has some in it, I think I will begin to refill it.

I have a crock bowl with a lid that I put all my change in, exactly I have change all over the house, laundry room, bathroom, bedroom, where ever I empty pockets. I just throw the change in little empty baskets that I have sitting around and then eventually I will collect it and put it in the crock. I am saving it for when we go on vacation to spend at the antique shops.

I have always had a change pot and from 1st this year, I've now got two.
One obviously is for change LOL, but I've always cashed it up whenever (normally when things are really tight) and then spent it!
I don't really want to have to do that now, although I haven't decided how I will use it or what savings it will go towards???
The new one I'm going to put my card money into - everytime I sell cards. Again it's money that has just been 'used' but I want to save it up as 'extra money' and make it work harder for us.

We have 2. One by the washer (which doesn't get as much added to it since the dk's left home) and one in the kitchen which catches all of our extra change. I usually only cash it in once a year or maybe longer..

We have three, one at dh's shop, he puts his pocket change in it and any he finds in the cars he does. One on the dresser for mine and any I find in the wash. And a third where I put it when I roll it. I had used all we did have and need to start a new total for it.

We have 2. Mel has one in his office and I have one in my bedroom. We just counted and rolled our change this weekend and we have oer $55 of change. It goes into Ryan's savings account. I wish it was more, but we use a lot of change for her lunch, especially the quarters.

We have one in our room. We only cash it in once a year and that is at vacation time. We use it for spending money.
