Question What percent of your earnings would you like to put into savings?

Even if you don't what % of your income would you like to see saved?

I'd love to be able to put 10% into our savings account each paycheck. I'm no where near that, but thats my ultimate goal.

We automatically have $200/month placed into savings and end up dipping into it. It's horrible. I'd like it to go in and stay in. My goals for the year are primarily to get to that point again.

None as of yet, we are still kind of digging out, but 10% would be a great place to start. I often wonder what will I do when I can no longer work (too old). Social security will probably not even exist anymore, I had better do something now.

I would realistically like to put 25% of our income into savings. With no kids at home I think we can get there in the next year or so.
