    Question Do you gamble?

    Why or why not?

We buy scratch off lottery tickets every once in awhile. I have never been to a casino though because I am too scared that I would get addicted. I love those types of games.

Dh has been to a casino one time and came home with all but five dollars. If he had lost more I probably would have been mad. But he doesn't go regularly.

    What about you?

No, I don't. I used to buy lottery tickets, several years ago. The most I ever won was $85. I probably spent $7-800 over several years time.

We buy lottery tickets maybe 2-3 times a year if the jackpot is big. Gabe occasionally will bring home a scratch off for me. We've won maybe $10 max. lol I don't enjoy gambling of any kind, but have been to Casino Niagara. I was like a goof with those slot machines. I didn't even want to cough over a quarter. lol

    do I gamble?

Well yes, but only on new recipes

actually no, and it's because I won 50$ once and figured that my statistical average chance of winning again just went way down so I've never bothered since.

I know it's weird. I wasnt' even sure why or how I got that lottery ticket, only that once I won, I decided based on stats not to bother again.

We don't gamble on a regular basis. I buy scratch off lettery tickets when someone turns 18- as a rite of passage type thing.

Dh and I occasionally will go to the boats (casinos) We take $20 for the two of us, and when it's gone, we leave. We figure the cost of dinner and movie would be that much or more, so we put in the entertainment category of the budget.

Dh and I do.....but we only take a certain amount and when that's gone, we're done. We both enjoy going to a casino on occaission but it's quite a drive for us so we don't get to go as often as we would if we lived near. (THANK goodness!)
We buy a lotto ticket and a scratch off on occaission.

Yes dh and I do, he buys his lottery tickets every week and we used to go to Atlantic City every couple of months. That was in the days when I worked too.

no I don't. We have a gambilng place here...called Cripple Creek. It is like a super duper micro mini Vegas. Three whole casions. But I don't go, neither does dh. we have bought a few scratchers before, and didn't win, so we stopped.

We don't but gambling is not legal here. We have, in the past bought lottery tickets while in GA or FL (many moons ago) and won maybe $25.
I'd love to go to a casino someday I'd only take a certain amount of money and once that was gone..we'd leave.....I see that happening maybe one time in my life. Once I go,I'd be finished..lol

Not anymore! In my wild and crazy younger days I used to buy the scratch off tickets. Now that I am older (and have kidlings to support) I just can't see spending money on gambling that could be going to feed the kids!!!!

We only buy lottery tickets when the jackpot is big.

I like to go to the horse races one day a year for the Kentucky Derby.

Casinos I stay out of. Any time I've been to AC, I understand why people get addicted to gambling. It's easy to say, once it's gone...but you always think the next pull will be it and all those ATMs around..WHEW! It's tough.

I'll stick to my once a year trip to the horse races-even then I usually break even cause I gamble my winnings away, lol. Also when the favorite wins, you only get like $2.10 back on a $2.00 bet. Kinda sux...

No we don't....I was never interested because I guess I have the impression we will never win...the chances are so slim. I do love to participate in free contests, though. In the last 10 years, I won:

    1 small tv.
    1 small radio
    1 getto blaster
    1 book
    1 mountain bike

All these I won with one ticket only...

...what makes me sad is that I think someone in my family gambles and alot... and never wins...

I don't gamble too often, but when I do go to the casino, I bring a certain amount of money with me and when its gone, I stop. Fortunately, most of the time I've won, or at least come home with the $ I went down with.

I guess I'd have to say I come from a gambling family--when I was younger my parents and I would go to the horse races, then to the dog races. Now, we have 2 casinos about 1 1/2 hours away in Connecticut that my parents go to at least 2 times a week. I go to the casinos maybe once every 2 or 3 months.

And, I have to add that my parents never gamble away the money for the mortgage or food money. I'm very lucky that they are responsible and know when to stop they know how to put away what they've won and call it a day!

    Sorry to ramble!

I go to the casino maybe once in five years and even then I only take a certain amount with me and when that's gone , that's it. Dh buys lottery tickets but I don't.
