Default How much does hamburger meat cost in your area?

I was just reading the ads and saw hamburger meat listed as a sale item for $2.69 a pound!!!!! I still can't believe they want that much for it. Looks like we'll be waiting awhile to restock that item!

It was that high here in GA, up until today. I saw it on sale for .99 a pound.

I don't know, it isn't listed in this week's ads but your price sounds about right for here too.

It is normally $2.69 lb. here but I try to go in the mornings and get what was ground the day before and I pay 1.89 lb. It does not go on sale very often.

I paid $1.99 lb last night. Entirely too expensive!

    $1.89 for 73% and $2 + for 85%& up.
Used to get it for 99¢ (once in a blue moon still is) but now the low is $1.59. When it's low,
    I stock up and freeze.

I paid $1.68 last week. I only got 10#. We'll be eating more of those $1.17 pork chops I guess.

I think it's about $1.69 here. I bought some last week but can't remember exactly.....I would go off to starve if I saw it at $2.69! My gosh that's high.

Well, around here (metropolitan Washington, DC area), ground beef is about $4.49 / lb. Yes, you read correctly!!!! I buy it only when it's on sale at $1.99 / lb. and I always try to buy the 90%-93% lean. Lately I've been buying chicken on sale (leg quarters .59 cents a pound, split chicken breasts .99 cents a pound, even pot roast as $1.99 a pound). The price of meats in this area has gone up way too much. Guess I ought to start stocking up on !!!

Regular ground beef at the store that I shop at is $1.79/lb. Right now, if you buy a 3 lbs. package, you get pasta and spaghetti sauce, parmesan cheese and garlic toast free.

The prices have always been low here in MN compared to the prices I had to pay in MI.

I buy extra lean hamburger from a firend who raises his own beef--no hormones, weird food, etc. I pay $2.00-2.25/lb for it. If he doesn't have any, the TOP price Iwill pay is 1.49. Why eat that when I can get chuck roast and grind it myself (in my Viatmix) for .99/lb?

Wish you could still get chuck roast for 99¢/lb. That too is way over priced at over $2/lb.

I haven't seen it on sale in my area for a very long time! For 85% it is running $2.99 a pound.

Here it's mostly 2.99 a lbs! This medium fat ground beef is $1.49 a lbs....but if you saw how fat it looks! I just didn't buy it!

Instead I found lean ground pork meat at the same store, for 99 cents a lbs. I bought at least 10 lbs....I don't usually buy pork, but with beef being so high in price....I'm changing some habits....
