Default What are you paying for corned beef brisket and cabbage?

With St. Patrick's day fast approaching, what are the prices in your area for corned beef brisket and cabbage. Safeway currently has then listed at .99 a pound for the brisket and .29 a pound for the cabbage.

Corned beef and cabbage is one of my all time favorite comfort foods, so I'd like to stock up.

I'm not. We don't like either here.

I haven't been paying attention to how much it costs, but I'll pay attention to next week's flyer when it arrives tomorrow.

I don't buy either. I'm the only one who eats cabbage so i don't buy it very often. None of us eat corned beef brisket.

It's not my cup of tea, but here it's about .97/lb for the corned beef, and .25/lb for the cabbage at Ralphs

Am I the only one who loves corned beef???? My grandma used to make it for me as a special treat! It was my most requested birthday meal from her. Her birthday was the day after mine and she loved it too. So as you can see, I have very warm memories attached to it.

I like it...leftover corned beef means Reubens! It's about 90/lb. for the cheaper cut.
The flat is about $2.40 lb. Cabbage was still too expensive this week, next week It'll be cheaper.

Finally, 2 more people who enjoy corned beef!!!! I can never seem to have enough leftovers to make Reuben sandwiches with. My crew devours meat!!! I saw at the store tonight that they had lots of corned beef in the case and told hubby I was coming back after St. Patty's day to see if they marked down all the meat that they had not sold. One year I got it for about $1.00 a package for the flat briskets and bought 12 of them!

Where DH works they are advertising a St. Patricks buffet. They will be haveing it where he works. Its ashame I don't eat it since it would be free.

I don't really like cooked cabbage (I never could get past the smell when my grandparents would make it.) Corned beef, never really liked it either. I do like raw cabbage though.

We Paid $7.71 with our Ingles Advantage Card for a Small Corned Beef Brisket and we paid close to $2.00 for a 3 lb Head of Cabbage. That was Last Sunday.
I don't know what we will pay when we go back to the store this week for Food.
