Wow, what a great price! Where did you get it?

I got it at a surplus grocery store.
We call it Jerry's Dent-n-Bent.

Hmmm...don't know if we have any of those grocery surplus stores. I'll have to do some research on this...that price is phenomenal.
How do you store it all once it's been opened? Do you have special containers for it?

Yeah, I use one of those Rubbermaid "totes". 50 lb. fills one halfway up.

Gina...is this a regular price at that store? Do they have it all the time? If it is, could you let me know? As well as the address/how to get to the store from 18 coming in from the West? DH is over there on occasion for work...could pick it up on his lunch break for me! I hate hunting all over and fighting for sale price on sugar!
(BTW, 100 pounds of wheat fills a big rubbermaid to the brim)

Ok now we can all get it( I think)Kroger has theri 5lb bags of sugar on sale for $.98 ea.But it does say limit 2,but you could go in more than once, but they use that stupid card and I don't know if they can limit the number using that.I am definatly going to try it.

Well...the rubbermaid tubs aren't a 100% guarantee on critters...but they are pretty safe. How's that for an explanation! I keep wheat in one...it's been fine so far....if it ever gets grain bugs I'll just feed it to the chickens and buy new.....no $ loss for me that way....

I haven't had any problems with critters, either, but then I freeze everything (flour and sugar, that kind of thing) for 48 hours before putting it in the bins.
Pat! I dunno if I wanna share my source...
LOL just kidding.
Ok, coming from 18 you'd want to continue down Main St. to Division Street: turn left onto Division. Continue down Division to a dead end. Turn right on Highland (you'll see Baptist hospital on the right), continue down Highland till you come to the end of it. Turn left. That is Highway 61. Contine 2-3 miles. On the left hand side of the street (right past Hodge Podge, a thrift store you should check out, too
) you'll see a building called Surplus Grocery (one of those old Coca-Cola signs on the roof), and that's Jerry's.
It's pretty easy to spot: there's an old pink Cadillac always parked out front.
Or you could come to my house, pick me up and I'll show ya personal.
