I wash baggies out sometimes. The last time I did it, my dh just looked at me like I was crazy.

Negative. I throw 'em out. They're cheap enough at Dollar Tree. I've been trying to use containers in lieu of bags. My grandmother did that but that was back when ziplocks were new and wayyyy expensive.

I wash all of mine. They're too expensive for me to willingly throw away. Even if there was meat in them, if you wash them out as soon as you take the meat out and then you put dishwashing liquid, hot water and vinegar inside of them, you can get the insides cleaned out and the germs are dead.

I've been doing it for six months now and no one in my family has gotten sick from it.

    No. I don't.

However, I do re-use the bag if it had cereal/chips/something like that in it and I'm going to have the same thing again.

Maybe if I had a lot of time, I would. But, frankly, I've got a lot of other stuff to do. I work all day. The amount of time/effort it takes to wash a baggie isn't worth the amount I save. Mostly, though, I don't use baggies. I use re-usable containers. Better for the environment and I don't have to keep buying them. So when I do buy baggies, it's often for something specific... like I'm going somewhere, need a snack, and don't want to have to fuss with carrying the container around all day.

Washing baggies isn't something I've ever done. I do recycle bread & bun bags...

My mom washes out baggies and it's a huge pet peave of my DH so I couldn't do it without driving him nuts!

I check for holes first. I usually use them to store things in the freezer and they can get pretty banged up. If they're holey they go in the garbage. Also if it's had some meat in it and just won't come clean, I toss it. BUT I do wash and reuse ziplocs that have had meat in them... I wash them in very warm soapy water and actually scrub them with the dishcloth. Hard to do, but it works. No one's had a case of food poisoning here in the last 10 years I've been doing it.

i will occasionally re-use baggies if they had bagels or muffins or carrots or something like that in them. i hate washing them though and rarely do that.

i try to limit my use of baggies though.
