She makes (bring home) in one month what we bring home in 4.....

I wouldn't be spending a night on the town in the first place! That would be the first expense I'd cut....
    A vacation???? What's that?!?!
Investments!! Well - Katie's orthodontist probably has killer investments!
$200 Visa - movies, books, eating out.....not touching that one!
Newspaper, gym fees, hair care, & gift allowances....please....

Hmmm - how could I get a job as an advisor?!?!

$100 a month for hair care?????? I'd be picking a less expensive hairdo! Why not lose the land line use the cell phone for her long distance calls and local calls on one of those one rate plans? $200 a month for eating out, movies and books??? Can you say library and learning to cook your favorites at home for half the cost? $50 a month for gifts? Gosh, I'd love to be her friend...that's $600 a year right there.

"Tired of watching her friends have all the fun, she burned through $5,000, her entire emergency savings, on a vacation and nights on the town. "And I have nothing to show for it!" she laments." OMGoodness! I sure hope she had a great time!!!

I just can't believe this woman goes through money like this and her friends still call her Frugal Fannie.

I say we all open up a Financial Counseling Franchise and help people like this poor woman out. Hey, that way both they and we can profit from our frugal knowledge!

    Thanks Shell for this article.

I always get a chuckle out of most of the articles in regards to people being frugal.

She spends $100 a month on hair. Hmmmmmm.

$200 for Visa for movies and eating out. Hmmmmm.

And the fact that she spent $5,000 just to keep up with her friends. OMG!!

She needs to join the village. She'd get great advice, make friends and wouldn't have to spend $5,000 just because all her friend are. Shell you alone could have her saving money within days. Your an expert at it and such an encourager to keep us on track.

Oh shucks thanks homesteadmamma. I'm not an expert yet. I still struggle once in a while. But I have improved a lot over the years and certainly picked up the saving bug.

I couldn't believe she spent $100 a month on her hair either. I SAID PARDON?!!!!!
