Cheap snacks for the kids

I was just reading an article on cheap snacks for the kids, as my 15 month old is eating more and more I was wondering what you frugal mommies give your kids for snacks? Oh, here is the article if you wanted a few ideas yourself.

DD#1 will make her own burritos. (Actually,t he kids pretty much serve their own breakfast & lunch.)

Snacks ... we don't eat many. We have breakfast around 9; lunch around 1; and dinner at 6. Bedtime is 9, so usually no bedtime snack.

In our house, a kid can have a banana (or yogurt) almost any time. If they won't eat a banana, then they're not hungry enough for a snack!

We do:

fruit
homemade muffins
popcorn (I realize this won't work for toddlers)
homemade cookies- especially snickerdoodles
homemade bread with homemade jam
tortillas with cream cheese and thin sliced lunch meat
homemade popsicles, fudgesicles, pudding pops
cinnamon toast
