Frugal Skills-Mending and caring for clothes
Part of our frugal skills include mending our clothes to make them last longer and also reuse our old worn out clothes for other purposes.
Here are some great ideas on making your clothes last longer or other uses for our old clothes:

I am trying to learn to make do with what I have. I have mended my undies where before I just would have thrown them out and bought new ones. I am learning how to whiten my bras instead of just throwing them out and buying new ones.
I am also saving up some clothes that need some sewing and I am going to dig out my old sewing machine (that my Mom gave to me for free!)
and try to alter my own clothes. I took sewing for 4 years in high school so I think I can do this. In the old days I would have just taken them to the dry cleaners or tossed them.
One day, I'd like to make some sewing projects and give them as gifts.
What are you doing to make your clothes last longer or using what you all ready have for other projects?
