Things you bought that you wish you hadn't?
Here's a list of things I wish I had not bought or got even from yard sales or free
Cheap bread machine or other kitchen appliance/gadgets that I almost never use because they are low quality and seldom used
Furniture I don't need that I salvaged from the curbside
Books I've never read and probably never will- especially paperbacks and cookbooks
Toys, books and clothes for DD she didn't like and never used
Movie tickets to movies that I didn't like
Gifts for others that they didn't appreciate or really want
Junk food that DD gets hooked on and spoiled over
Items for a recipe that I ended up not liking and now have no use for that item, spice, etc.
Canned goods on sale that went bad and I had to end up throwing out. (Sweetened condensed milk, for one)
Cook books that ended up having mostly recipes I didn't like and maybe one or 2 that I did and that required the buying of things that are not easily found in my pantry and that we normally do not eat
Magazines that were mostly ads and little "useful" content
Craft supplies on sale that now no one wants or uses
Different sizes and shapes of storage containers that don't stack and don't hold much or will not even fit in my closets, cupboards
Cookware like frypans that are non-stick and cheap and wear out in no time
Cheap paint for the walls
A sunday newspaper with coupons that I wouldn't use - cost $1.50 for maybe 50cents worth of coupons I might use, if that
Vaccuum cleaners that you keep buying filters, bags and belts for all the time
Air filters/purifiers that cost less than the filters they need
Gameboy and gameboy games
```````````````````````````
I'm sure I could think of more but I get sad thinking about money I wasted.
How about you? Have any purchase regrets?
Where to begin.....
The waffle iron that is useless unless you have all day to make waffles.
The under the counter can opener that wouldn't open a can if life depended on it.
Way to many clothes and shoes for dd and myself that were "on sale" so I just knew I needed them. This goes for the stuff from yard sales too.
Neopets white unicorn that I spent days looking for after dd begged and pleaded for it. She's hardly looked at it since Christmas.
Music cd's from a record club - who's got time to listen and besides dd's stuff is always playing.
Oh I could go on......
Fabric that's on sale, but I don't have a use for, or I find out that I really don't like it.
High priced pans that I'll never pay off. Never even used them.
Food that I never get around to using, and now its spoiled.
Clothes that I bought and washed that don't fit now.
So many more....
Great post!!
Where do I start?
Clothes, clothes, and shoes that I never wear.
A chest of drawers that I now hate...its in the basement to go in the yard sale in a few weeks! Big waste of money....
I've got a ton of stuff upstairs that I have bought over the years...I don't really reqret buying the stuff...I just wish that I could get through it and sell it all....I can't never seem to find the time or the will....lol...
Not many regrets. We're not big shoppers here at all. I do have Alexandra's playpen that she never liked and I just had to have. For the longest time it held toys. I finally took it down and put it into the attic during the spring fling.
Sandals I have so many in every style. Most I will never wear they either give me blisters or hurt my feet. The upside to this is a neice who takes the same size shoe I do.
Kitchen gadgets I mean lots of kitchen gadgets. I could supply another whole kitchen.
Our membership in a travel club. Used it once in 5 yrs, by the time we get the $ and time to use it again I won't be able to find the right #'s to call (If they are still in bussness)
Clothes I bought a year early for the kids and misjuged the size they would be. (most to small, I think I am raising weeds!)
Fabric that was on sale and I purchased it just because it was so cheap. Well I don't like some of it. I just love it when I see 50 percent off signs.
Books that I won't get around to reading.
Clothes
Food in my pantry that I'll never eat.
And even today in a moment of weakness I purchased a box of Dove bars. These were expensive but I thought I would splurge. They cost almost $4.00 a box. Ouch! The thing is that the box of ice cream sandwhiches that cost $3.00 for 12 is a whole lot better and I could have gotten three times as much for less money.
