Default If you couldn't get to the store...

could you make it for a week or even a month on your pantry and HBA stockpiles?

I was just thinking about this with winter approaching. I also know that some people are affected by weather related lay-offs and downtime. Could you make it?

Yep I could too, probably a month on most items and 2 months on others. HBA, same as Carolyn, I have enough to last a year except for tp!

Yep, I'm the same way with the TP. Looking for another good stock up sale to combine with coupons. I also need to get a few more bottles of shampoo.

We'd make it ok-- some things would be slim, some nonexistant- but we'd eat healthy for at least 3 months, probably longer.

H&B- at least 6 months, longer if we rationed.

We might make it for a month, but pickings would be slim. I'm working on our stockpile now.

We could easily make it for a couple of months....we'd run out of some things but nothing that would cause us major misery.

I think we'd have about two months of both food and HBA here.

I'm about to test that, actually, as we're moving in October and I don't want to move a ton of food, so we're going to be trying to live out of the stockpile as much as possible.

All I need is a cow for milk for the babies (and my cereal, lol). I've never had much luck freezing it. It always explodes on me, even if I empty some out.

I have 30 days worth of meat, mostly hamburger, in the freezer and lots of soup and have been adding to my canned milk stockpile but we only have 4 cans of veggies, lol, I let that get too low. Also would need laundry soap, dog food, and Tp, toothpaste. I am bad about not stockpiling those so I need to get with it!

Yes probably more than a month, but somethings we would run out of. But then you would just adapt and make do with something else

I could survive for about two or three weeks on the food. I live in a condo that has so little storage space that it is disgusting. We're looking for another place to rent for cheaper, but with more adequate storage space. I have nowhere to store my food, and it just gets put up where I can find space. I have a lot of extra shampoo, because Wal-Mart sells it really cheap. I also get a stock of body wash from my grandmother, because I ask for it for Christmas and my birthday.

There are some things I would run out of (milk, bread, eggs) I could find something to eat for a while though if I had to. My pantry is not as stocked as I would like though.

My pantry has gotten really low thus we are now stocking up for the long winter months. Its wasn't an easy 6 months for us the first of the year, so the stockpile got depleted pretty badly. By the end of Sept. it will be well stocked again.
