Thumbs up I finally was able to "DOUBLE COUPONS"

Sobey's in Brandon doubles coupons every Wed. I knew they did but wasn't sure how much of a savings I would make.

Well they double coupons to $2 so thats means $4.00. If your coupon doubles more than the item, they won't double it.

So I can finally say I was able to Double Coupons. My grocery bill was $49.58 and I saved $22.00 by going yesterday. My grocery bill came to $27.58. Woo hoo, my grocery days have now changed from Fridays to Wednesday.

The best deal I was able to get was for Tide laundry detergent. It was on sale and I had a $2 coupon. Now the trick for me is to learn how to use my coupons more effectively - waiting until there are sales on the items I have coupons for and then shopping. I was just a bit disorganized, I was so excited!!

You're lucky, the most I've seen stores double up to here is to $1, but most of the time it's only to 50 cents. I'm hoping to find some better double coupon days soon.

A store in a town 30 miles down the road doubles coupons. If I were efficient like most of you it would be worth the drive over there just to take advantage of the doubles. I need to check out the paper to see when the sales are and also check out the recycling dumpsters for coupon inserts.

    Congratulations....

Using coupons for items that are on sale or for loss leaders is a very effective way to bring your bill down. Think of coupons like stock...know when to sell them (or in the case of coupons-use them), know when to hold them.
