PrairieRose is feeling weak!
It's been 1 month and 3 days since I publicly declared that I was on a clothes/shoes/accessory buying hiatus for one full year. I'm starting to tremble and have the cold sweats.
I want some new pants! I want a new coat! I want some new panties! I'm feeling weak, I need some encouragement......can I actually do this for 11 more months?! Do you know how long that is?
I'm really wondering.....what was I thinking?!

Do you NEED it?? Tis the season to think of others!!! If you went to serve at a mission kitchen you wouldn't need fancy panties!! Plus you might get yourself back on task - Is there anything of yours you could donate to a women's shelter - they really need back to work stuff!! these things might help you regain your perspective - need vs. want. Boy - I know if I had any money I would have a terrible time - shoes are my thing - Darlene calls me Imelda!! But if I am feeling the pangs I try to see where I could help someone else - it's free-ing and exhilerating. Stay strong Lisa!!!

You were thinking about how strong you are and about how you weren't going to let your greeds outweigh your needs!!
You CAN do this!! I have full confidence in you girlie!!! Keep thinking goo dthoughts - no more stinking thinking!! Positive thougths about how good you're going to feel about yourself in 11 short months!!

You're too funny! I'm not sure underwear should count in your challenge, but don't want you to break down and buy anything. lol
UCANDOIT
That underwear can last another 11 mos. lol Just don't put them in bleach like I did and you'll be fine.
Go rediscover some of the things you already have.
Count those earrings up and reconsider.

Repeat after me "I will not shop for clothes" if you want some new undies, tell hubby that is what you want in your stocking for Christmas! Just don't freak out when you see what his idea of undies are for you!

Think of your bank account! The numbers...think how well you're doing and don't go into any stores unless you absolutely have to. Run in and run out. Stay strong! You can do it!

I have an idea! Take five random pieces of clothes and put them in a box. Then hide them waaaaay in the back of your closet. In a few months, you'll find them again and it'll be like finding new clothes! It might kill that shopping jones you have! You can do it. Stay strong, sister, and shout out to us whenever you are feeling weak again.
Be a good example for the rest of us! Goddess knows, I need it!
Bright Blessings!

When I am feeling weak I go into my closet or drawers and try to think of new clothes combinations. Wear something in a new way and it almost feels like a new outfit.

When I am feeling weak, I do laundry. Trying to put away ALL those clothes usually does it for me.
I gotta give it to ya though. 1 years is quite an accomplishment. I just finished my 6 month challenge. It was TOUGH -- but I already had so much I couldn't justify anything. It'll go by quickly thats for sure!

Lisa, I know you are stronger than that!
Take that urge of yours & put it towards saving for something else like things for your kitchen redo.
