Don't be afraid to negotiate price changes
It doesn't work with everything but I just got off the phone with the Hearst Corp. Dh's fav magazine Popular Mechanics is due to expire in Feb. and they wanted $18 to renew.(I would usually get them at the library for free but he really enjoys it & then passes it on to his Dad.
) Well I took a few min. online & found it at Amazon for $12. So I looked for a toll free # for Hearst, called and told them Amazons price & asked if they would honor that price. They said sure, so I got the price I wanted & he won't miss any issues.
The worst any of these companies can say is no, so take a few min & have fun wheeling, dealing& saving money.~*Darlene*~

WTG Darlene and I totally agree. For most things, you seldom have to pay full price if you negotiate properly. Especially in today's economy when you can most like go elsewhere to get the product.

I couldn't agree more, Darlene. When people ask us at our store if we have a lower price, a senior's discount etc. we usually say yes and give them at least 5% off the marked price. Most retailers price their goods to allow for discounting so it's an excellent idea to ask.
