Had To Share!
I was delighted yesterday to come home last night to find my dearest friends had visited. They are a wonderful couple who have a 7 month old baby whom I absolutely adore, and because she is so small and precious, I turn the heat on in the apartment when I know they're coming to town to visit. I've given them a key to the apartment so that they can come and go from our home as they please -- they can use the bathroom, change the baby in comfort, relax, use our kitchen to make baby food, etc.
Well, as a thank you, when I came home and they were there to visit, they'd also gone out and bought my husband and I a wide variety of wonderful groceries! Cheese, flour, chocolate and butterschotch chips, raisins, Jell-O, canned soups, baking goods, sugar, vegetable shortning, vanilla, etc. It was wonderful. I was so pleased with this. It was certainly not anything they had to do, and both my husband and I told them this -- they do all kinds of things for us all the time -- but this gesture was just so kind I felt like sharing.
So to add to my daily appreciations, I have these wonderful friends whom I cherish dearly.
