the won't buy list
Let's make a list of items we no longer buy or buy seldomly since we have an alternative.
Examples: I don't buy a cup of coffee at the store because I make it at home all the time now. I don't buy plastic containers because I use margarine tubs for leftovers or have glass storage containers, etc.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. It's internationally syndicated through Universal Uclick. Thank you for supporting Frugal Village.

I don't purchase paper towels - I make my own.
I don't purchase Kleenex, I make our hankies.
I don't purchase plastic containers either, I use containers other foods come in.
I don't purchase garbage bags, I use bags we get our groceries in. I have cloth bags for when we go into the city because the plastic grocery bags at Superstore costs 4¢ a piece. Here they are free and make perfect garbage bags.
Just a few I can think of right now.

You girls are awesome! I have to go back and think of any changes I made. Alot I've always done already, but I think for me it's that I've learned to re-purpose things more.
Let me give it some thought, and I'll be back. I just had to take a minute 1st to say how impressed I am. I guess that's the results of FV for ya though! Very nice!

Newspaper, the one in my town is cruddy anyway. There is a website I use that has most of the store ads online that I want to see.
Plastic containers...reuse others that stuff has come in. Jam jars..same story, use ones that other food has come in.
Hair styling products...only use shampoo and rinse..keep it simple and easy.
Dryer sheets...don't need them and they clog the dryer filter.
Garbage bags...use grocery store bags and for 'dog poop' bags I use anything that has had other things in it IE: coffee bags, produce bags, etc. (good thing I only have two SMALL dogs...small dogs = small poop)
