I am most thankful for paying for our car with cash and not having a car payment. We bought used almost six years ago. It is a 1995 Dodge Neon, and has been absolutely wonderful. Not having a car payment is soooooooo nice!!!!

I think some of the things I am most happy we spent money on-

our computer and laptop, because without them my husband and I would never have met, and he wouldn't be able to run his business!

Plane tickets to go see family, and tickets for them to come visit us here- time spent together is precious.

Our van (we paid cash), the freezer, our house(it is not paid off but we can afford it and it is financed for 20 years instead of 30) and oddly enough our home theater system. We are big movie buffs and have saved a fortune on movie tickets now that it is just as enjoyable to watch them at home.

Our computers, we have two, one was purchased used from a friend who upgrades every couple of years.
My dog, Penny. We paid an adoption fee of $125, and the first year vet bills, with spaying, shots, etc. were kind of high, but worth it.
Our Toyota Corolla. We are still making payments, but we bought it new in 2001, and plan to drive it as long as it is still running, at least 10 years.

My Toyota echo. Previously we could only afford a really old car with over 100 000 miles on it. My echo was second hand but only three years old and about 45 000 miles on it. I feel it is such a nice small reliable car.

It would have to be my frig. It is a huge Amana that has a bottom freezer.
It makes the crispers up where I can clean them without bending way down to the floor.

Oh, today our new couch was delivered...first one in 25 years!!! I have been wanting a new one for a long time.

New cars my dh works 50 miles away and we were always sweating breakdowns. When the kids were little we used to go to the beach and I would pray all the way there and back that our car would make it. Cable internet I don't think I ever want to go back to dial up now. (I resisted this last one for about a year after it was available) The dishwasher, oh how I dislike washing dishes by hand.
